Buttermilk Falls (Ludlow, VT)
Buttermilk Falls is about 1 mile east of Rt. 103 and the entrance to the Lake Ninevah Rd. and is well worth a visit. Since Buttermilk falls is not visible from the road, it is quite surprising and amazing that this little gem packs so much beauty into such a "small" place.
From Hearthside, go all the way out to Rt 103 and turn left (east). Travel east on 103 for about 1 mile and turn left on Buttermilk Falls Road.
Large shallow and calm water for small children. Very good size "cliffs" to jump into deep pools. Plentiful shady or sunny areas for picnicing.
